Eyefatique (Berlin)
Sep 19th, 2010 | By admin | Category: Artist, VJ Actseyefatique started 2005 in Rostock. quite pissed, they painted eye fatigue on a piece of canvas on board of MS Stubnitz, this wonderful monster of steel. Beloved floating party location who changed her flags from fish murder to fun. They thought their name would speak their clearly – work your eyes watching (like work your muscles dancing) – but they learned that everybody thought it meant tired eye. So they came to think about the other stuff: togetherness, ambitions, devotions, energy, emotions, excess. and how it all works together to make a good party.
their roots are in urbania. early they signed up for graffiti and street art. In time they added digital to analogue. Today each member of eye fatigue has a graphic design background. so all the more they love their piece of canvas onto which they project all the surplus graphic energies, making their ideas the only boss. Thus they proceed together. Of course: selfishness is out. They work as a team.
when they do visuals, it’s not about sending a mess of pics and pieces onto a wall and shuffle them around a little. it’’s about mixing up a synergy of sound and picture. like one and one makes a better one. so they work with the sound as the sound works with them, like it makes the finger press the right button at the right time, feeds in the best bomb for the bass. they want to enhance the experience of music by picturing the sound. support, respect, multiply.
